I always find these interesting lists. I think what you see is a reflection of the races, the market to identify the best dogs, on average, at any given time. Obviously, what has been omitted from this list the races, which are not registered by Kennel Clubs (such as pit bulls) and mixed breed dogs.
It's probably a good idea to examine each of these races if you plan to make a dog breed. Competition for buyers to be high for this race, and a good number of farmers, it is for you to compare. As with anything, the sale of a few farmers and some dogs are better than others. You should do your research and make sure with reputable breeder that will deal a well-behaved dog.
When considering these races, I sort this list in a few different groups.
Big and Friendly
The first group are the dogs that are larger, loving, kind, funny and easy to manage. These are the Labrador Retriever and Golden Retriever. Both races are easy to own and can do most of what people want to do from a dog. It's easy to find a well-behaved dog with a good temperament. Labs are to own one of the easiest breeds to train. Goldens are easy to own and train, but they are a bit more difficult, so that they can take a little more care in the care and education. Both turn out to be as fantastic dogs, if you do what you have to do with a dog: love, to monitor, to socialize and train. These dogs are also known to be good with children. And the ones that you are likely to live long and healthy most of her life can be found.
Medium in size, soft and friendly
This group consists of loving, friendly, playful, medium-sized dogs that are good family dogs are composed. These would be the cocker spaniel, English Springer Spaniel and Beagle. This group requires a bit more understanding when it comes to buying and owning a dog. I would not recommend this to explore without, and to get very familiar with the breed standard. I would also have some self-examination to determine whether these races would be good to do work for your personality. Spaniels are but usually high energy dogs require a soft touch, but diligent. Spaniels are gentle dogs, emotional and easily upset. Those evil ... to be highly sensitive and provocative a very difficult combination of features. Spaniel coach best if you have a light heart and take your time to build trust and respect for their dog. Spaniels also require a lot of exercise every day, and they are not good to do, especially as puppies, is expected to be quiet homebody. Beagles are similar spaniels in many respects, in that they will be sensitive and provocative. There is no way you should get one of these races, without the investment in professional dog training. Beagles can also panic when stressed, are very perfume food motivated and probably kill and defend against rough treatment of adults or children. All dogs in this group can be dangerously aggressive if ill-treated. Evil men, easily frustrated not to get these races. It is also very important to get pet insurance if you possess these races because they be more vulnerable to health problems. You really need to do some in-depth background research for dog breeder before you make a purchase.
Determined and Active
This group is loving, active, playful dogs very strong willed. This would be the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Pug, Boxer and Bulldog. Bull breeds are known to be quarrelsome, meaning combative. But that does not really describe properly. What you will find is that they get to play with and to fight, which is a result of their Bulldog environments has fallen. Breeders have weakened the bull race in recent years, raising their tendency to fight. What remains Dogs are playing rough. Staffordshire Bull Terrier still has the ability to fight, but it is important they where they can feel the need to defend themselves not in situations. I see people get these races, but complain why they tend to jump on you, pulling hard on the leash walking, too coarse to play, and rebellious at the controls. Hey, wake up! You have a bull dog breed. I want all the bull breeds, but it is important to follow a few simple rules when possess. First you need to, and monitor train to do all the normal things that you make to do with a dog. That goes without saying. Second, you do not want to not be so much fun to encourage the behavior that later when the dog is older, is. So you have to start early by a good leader with these dogs. I would not recommend these races for toddlers, passive people or the elderly. Children can not properly assume leadership in these breeds and dogs are often intimidating. People are not passive constantly claiming to be the lead with these dogs, so that life held miserable as dogs get the status of players. The elderly, at some point, not actively be listening to this race or enough. This might not be a politically correct thing to say, but it's true. There is a time to realize that you are willing or able to deal with certain breeds no longer employ. It is no different from the reason why people over 40 years old to have children, or are reluctant to adopt. You do not want to chase a toddler in the house. That sounds strange for me to say about boobs, but I saw Pugs can wreak havoc in houses with people who are not willing they are to educate properly. I love pugs and many of them have trained. These are very intelligent dogs that contracts are to defy a rule. Only vigorous, attentive, strong, patients do well with their respective owners, all these races.
German Shepherds
This breed deserves its own category. "GSD" come in a variety of types, from pets, to service dogs, sports dogs, police dogs. Each subgroup is almost a separate breed. The pet-versions can range from the perfect family dog or a monster of health and temperament. I remember a GSD had hind legs that looked like it belonged to a giant rabbit; sick dogs; Dogs with terrible allergies; Hip dysplasia; and even dogs toed pigeon. I saw that ignores GSD corrections; GSD extremely aggressive; very anxious dogs; Dogs, children are dangerous; and dogs that were so precarious that they barked all the time in every little thing. The German Shepherd dog breed was almost destroyed by the popularity and stupid reproduction. I saw GSD breeding animals so badly, so badly brought up, were so shy and funny, it made me sad disgusted with the breeders who created this one thing for the dog, the owner for not in advance and infuriate their homework. I also saw a few companions versions, the perfect companion for your home, everything you could want was in such a dog. Race services that you not be able to buy, because they already made for such work. High sporting dogs have the same problems as dogs purebred, only an unhealthy and unstable, or large dogs. The racing dogs Retrievers will be much more intense, more fun ... and come up with stories of the blind kennel breeders who claim that their dogs are invented perfectly. They think dogs would be bred for competition better, but often they are not. Finally, there is the high GSD police. These dogs are not dogs. They are working dogs, aggressive, strong, determined, intelligent, healthy and active. If you hear a GSD lines "Czech" you could deal with such a dog. If you find that your dog is half the police / Half pet or breeding dog sports, do not buy it. You will receive a too sensitive and too aggressive dog. A properly Breed Dog is a number of additional features that work together for a purpose. Mix one guy with another generally only for a dog, you can not make sure to friends, strangers or a public promenade. There is no race I know where you have to do more homework, and verification of credentials, with a German Shepherd. These dogs need early socialization and on-going, active life to learn something and to do exercise and as property.
Small dogs
This group of races is for people who want a small pet dog. These include Border Terriers, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Yorkshire Terrier, Dachshund, Poodle and Shih Tzu. There are some general points that you watch with small dogs. The first thing to consider is your family. Not everyone will be kind and considerate in view of a small dog. Young children are often too rough on the dogs. Some adults are disrespectful to the dogs play too rough or not love small dogs. Next is the socialization. People tend to spoil the little dogs. Dogs are often not properly socialized or line. I saw far too little anxious dogs, which are not taken over like puppies to meet with strangers and other dogs. I also met a lot too small snarly dogs by their owners yappy and spoil evil. Dogs are not babies, people and many of these dogs are not house trained, well educated or trained. Border Terriers are big dogs, affectionate and intelligent, easy to train and easy to maintain. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are very similar to their larger cousins spaniel, but usually soft a little harder and not so active, requires patience and thoughtful training. Yorkshire Terrier is what you make of them, to own or wonderful dogs a pain in the neck; You have the choice. Dachshunds are one of my favorites, but they require careful owner to put in the effort to make them out pan. Poodles are loving and funny, but often I see deals with the sickly fed garbage, bratty lack of leadership, ungroomed as lazy owner, mischievous, because a lack of training and manners forced not housebroken, so that the dirt at home every day. Shih Tzu are full of yourself, loving, funny dogs. But I saw a number of them dealt with too coarse, so that they become itchy. Shih Tzu often suffer the same problems as poodle for her crazy owner. All these dogs deserve better, and if you do your homework and you lessons, they can all be excellent companions.
Mixed Breed Dogs
Many mixed breed dogs have one or more of the above breeds in them. When choosing a mixed breed dog, the potential positive and negative aspects that from a rule of how you treat them.
Pit Bulls
Pitbull dogs are probably as popular as one of the "Top 10", but not on these lists, because they are not considered as pure-bred. They are large dogs and considered as pets. The same considerations apply to them as a dog.
What to do?
I do not get a dog because it's popular, I am keen to meet the right dog with the right owner. That's the most important.
