I call my philosophy of dog training Compliance training and here is how it works:
Real life for all animals (including dogs, and yes, humans, too!) On the consequences to learn positive and negative.
• The positive results encourage us to repeat a behavior.
• The negative consequences deter us from repeating a behavior.
For example, we hold the elevator door open and someone said, "Thank you" (positive), so we do it again. We take an extra long lunch break and our bosses pay platforms (negative), so that we are less likely to do it again. We learn from both positive and negative consequences, and behave accordingly.
Your dog learns, both positive and negative consequences. Momma Dog Puppy leave, whether he plays or whether it is reasonable to rough.
So do dogs. If a puppy playing with his mother when his style of play makes sense it responds in a positive way. But if it is too rough, it must be corrected quickly with a growl or bite. Puppy depressed and never again to play with another dog? Of course not. He is happy to play - only more slowly.
Positive dog training is only meant well, but it does not have the real life, or how dogs learn better to reflect. Remember, a treatment not a negative consequence for most dogs. Especially if they are not happy in harassing the cat or chew shoes or dig through the trash engaged. You do not have to worry in the least about your treatment.
No, the dogs learn best from balanced dog training, where their behavior can have positive or negative consequences.
• The positive Follow = rewarding desired behavior with praise, smiles, hugs, games and treats.
• The negative consequences = correct unwanted behaviors. Use your voice, hands or with a leash or collar Now I do not know, hitting, screaming, choke collars or shock collars - I can show you how your dog to correct without harsh or harmful.
Giving your dog both positive and negative effects, it can make a conscious decision to do a behavior (or not doing a behavior) - not only when in the mood for a positive result (reward, pleasure) is but even if he does not take care a hoot about the positive result, but this control because they do not want the negative consequence (correction).
All life works that way - cause and effect.
If you are the judge of your dog's behavior - your dog safe and respectful touch - the one who gets to say yes or not, what he must do. And if your dog respects you, he will listen to you, mind you do, what you're asking, and stop any misconduct on a single word from you.
